Lightly carbonated. Reeks of peaches, apricots, floral hops, and alcohol. A big malty sweetness dominates the flavor- the medium body holds the flavors nicely and makes it highly drinkable. Finishes with a big floral hop and alcohol bite.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 6, 2008 22 oz. Pours dark copper with a thick off white head. Big hop aroma, pine, grapefruit, balanced with a thick malt. Malty thick taste with lots of hops, caramel and alcohol. Finishes with a hoppy bitterness. Avery is great at making over the top beers and this is no exception. Get ready for hops malt and, in the end, being much more buzzed than ou thought you would be. Very good. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Pours a deep brownish red with a very thick and creamy off-white head. Smells of hops and citrus. With a grassy sweetness that follows the citrus. Tastes of hops and smokiness in the front and some fruit, bananas, on the finish. My second favorite BW to Stone OG. Thickish but crisp. Good carbonation, to me carbonation in a BW is key. You could drink alot of it but the high ABV would kill you. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Pours a murky amber color with an off-white head leaving sticky lacing all around the glass. The smell of this one is awesome, it has some caramel in the background, but mostly consists of citrus fruits, and a very strong smell of pineapple. Taste starts out hoppy with combinations of pine and citrus fruits, then hits you with a subtle maltiness, finished with pineapple. Mouthfeel is full bodied and just the right amount of carbonation, truly feels wonderful on the palate. Would I have another, oh hell yes. Definately worth picking up, I will be getting more as soon as I can.
