rmussman (905), California, USA Dec 31, 2007 Sampled out of a 22oz from BevMo. Has a very crisp hoppy flavor with thick thick malts. Overall a very good brew with a very well crafted palate. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Dec 26, 2007 Pours a deep brownish red with a very thick and creamy off-white head. Smells of hops and citrus. With a grassy sweetness that follows the citrus. Tastes of hops and smokiness in the front and some fruit, bananas, on the finish. My second favorite BW to Stone OG. Thickish but crisp. Good carbonation, to me carbonation in a BW is key. You could drink alot of it but the high ABV would kill you. badbeer (432), Iowa, USA Dec 23, 2007 Pours a murky amber color with an off-white head leaving sticky lacing all around the glass. The smell of this one is awesome, it has some caramel in the background, but mostly consists of citrus fruits, and a very strong smell of pineapple. Taste starts out hoppy with combinations of pine and citrus fruits, then hits you with a subtle maltiness, finished with pineapple. Mouthfeel is full bodied and just the right amount of carbonation, truly feels wonderful on the palate. Would I have another, oh hell yes. Definately worth picking up, I will be getting more as soon as I can. robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Dec 21, 2007 Updated: Jul 1, 2009old rating:

pours a clear brown-orange with a small beige head, and great lacing.
smell of grapefruit hops, caramel, some floral, spice, some sweet fruit, and citrus.
taste is light grapefruit, pear, apple on the first sip, then bitter, alcohol, some lemon, some tangerine, and a little caramel, ends a little dry and very bitter. DrHomolka (726), Columbus, Ohio, USA Dec 19, 2007 Bomber. Pours evil looking bright ruby red. Translucent with a soapy off-white head. Thick sheets of lace. Aroma is hoppy but not in a usual way. Salty, meaty, caramel, tequila, herbal and spicy. This has a very familiar smell that I can’t quite put my finger on though it’s food-related. Taste is pretty smooth and drinkable with the IBUs, ABV and all that considering. Spicy, malty taste, lightly bitter with tingly and slightly sweet finish. Very drinkable. This is pretty good though I don’t know if I’d buy it again. yobdoog (1429), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Dec 19, 2007 Not too strong for a BW. Very drinakble considering its only noon when I was drinking it. Excellent start to the day before Brewtopia. Fruits and hoppyness. Some wood and caramel too. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Dec 12, 2007 Updated: Aug 22, 2009

zeke626 (302), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Dec 8, 2007 Bottle, pours orange-brown body with tan head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is spicy and malty with a hint of citrus. Body is heavy and solid; strong malt flavors along with the hops. Finishes a bit on the astringent side, but gets better as it warms.
