Commercial Description:
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Very nice and complex aroma of floral hops, light fruits, citrus and pine. Flavor is more of the same, especially the hops but enough malt to keep it from being too bitter.

Hazy ruby amber pour with a beige head. Alcohol, berry, maple, and apricot aroma. Taste is very complex with a multitude of fruits and hops. Finishes with a bitter roast finish. Very well balanced beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, apple skins, light fruits, and light citrus hops. Flavor of sweet malt, lemon iced tea, some sweet grassy hops in the finish. Heavy palate, huge malt bomb here. Hmm, I wasn’t really impressed by this beer. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

This is a fantastic beer. Well balanced maltiness and hops. Fantastic aroma with a caramel taste, again balanced with hops. Awesome.

Pours clear mahogany, with a one finger beige head, good lacing. Aroma of grass, hay, leather, dark fruit, and molasses. Medium body, velvety, mildly dry, slightly sticky. Very dark and heavy flavor, bread, plum, caramel, molasses, hay, grass, and a little bit of citrus. Strong bitter aftertaste.

Bomber. This one pours a clear, dark red copper with a medium-large chunky, off-white head that leaves a ton of lacing. Aroma is bold pine and citrus hops upfront with a soft, fruity, earthy, caramel malt backbone. Grapefruit, apple, and pear are evident, along with bread, hay and toffee. The flavor is, at first, a strong rush of bitter piney hops. Then, the sweet malt comes through and almost drowns out the bitter. However, the bitterness far outlasts the sweetness and eventually is left all alone to linger in the mouth. Mouthfeel is thick and oily, with a lot of resin, and slightly cloying sugar. This barley wine drinks more like DIPA, and, although I do like bitter beers, would have liked to less hop profile and more of a complex malt character. Very drinkable and enjoyable however.

Bottle. Poured amber with an off-white head. Aroma was sweet and malty. Flavor was nice with sweet caramel flavors with the slightest citrus flavor.

Red amber with almost no head. Aroma is hops, pine, pot, citrus and caramel. Flavor is also very hopy with pine, pot, citrus, caramel and malt.
