jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA May 3, 2007 a good barleywine that could have packed a little more flavor. alcohol hidden quite well on this one. medium dark with enough hop flavor to satisfy. triazolam (1), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA does not count May 3, 2007 A fine barely wine in my books. Drank from a snifter it has a very miniscule head, good lacing, kind of milky and muddy in colour. Extrordinarily malty and carmely. There’s a lingering aftertaste of choclolate and hops. stouby (1932), Holbaek, Denmark May 3, 2007 Bottle at No5.
Amber with a large beige head, good lacings. Aroma heavy malty (vanilla, pines, plum, citris, bitter chocolate) and hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet and bitter, long. Medium/full body, soft carbonated. The alcohol is felt! hayduke (1621), Eureka, California, USA May 2, 2007 From a 22 oz bottle (I love that label) this poured a red to amber with a medium tan head and decent lacing. Nose is floral hops, and mouthfeel is very smooth. Flavors are dominated by the nops with some sweet caramel malts. Finish ls long and slightly bitter. This is amazingly easy to drink and hides the alcohol well. A first rate barley wine. keith0718 (157), Olathe, Kansas, USA May 2, 2007 From memory. A fine barleywine, but not quite on par with Great Divide’s Old Ruffian or Sierra Nevada’s Bigfoot. Nevertheless, this is a great barleywine Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA Apr 28, 2007 Updated: Aug 24, 2007*****edit***

Thure (143), Aalborg, Denmark Apr 28, 2007 Cobber colour. Light foam. Vanilla, plum, rasin aroma, Flowery bitterness with Citrussy and Bitter chocolade notes. Full body. inkycaps (15), , Texas, USA Apr 26, 2007 Nice hop character. Pours a very nice rich red color. Nice hop character and sweet malt. You can smell and definitely taste the alcohol. Leaves your tounge a lil numb after a couple.
