COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop loverís delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Deep amber clear pour with fluffy eggshell head. Good lacing. Dark fruit, malty sweetness, and a mix of mostly earthy and some citrus hops. Super drinkable. Follows a very similar profile to the aroma. Raisin and plum. Mild roastiness and good caramel malt flavor. Hop profile is more citrusy in the flavor with a dry hoppy finish. ---Rated via iPhone

Bottle. Very hoppy, but quite tasty. Hops overshadow some of the subtler flavours, but a great barley wine nonetheless.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a dark copper/brown colored body with a one finger white to off white foamy head that tries to settle but leaves a lumpy looking valley of a head. The smell was malty, slightly sugary, slight hops come forth as it warms. The taste was bittersweet, wow the most balanced bittersweetness Iíve ever had in an American Barleywine, flavor comes across way better than its smell, bittersweet aftertaste, dry bittersweet finish. On the palate, it sits at/about dry yet coats the mouth slightly oily, medium in body, fairly sessionable for 9.2 but hey Iím not arguing, carbonation has a good sharpness to it and is good for the style. Overall, this was a nice dry hopped American Barleywine, if youíre lookiní for a hoppier barleywine, this may be your guy. However, I need to say, the more this warms, the more it tastes like a DIPA, no worries, Iíd still have this again.

3/4" off white foamy head, short lasting and low lacing. Attractive Deep ruby amber clear liquid. Aroma is hops dominated, floral. Picked up some buttery, methane off aroma after swirling. Flavor is strong bitter with a bite which masked the malts. Silky texture, moderately dry and strong warm finish, astringent aftertaste. Overall not my favorite from this brewery, I think unbalanced towards the bitter and heavy and cloying to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

darker brown pour with a tall tan head. Aroma of floral and pine, not particularly distinct. As a fan of barleywines, I had high hopes. Powerful shot of hard, sweet caramel followed by a surprisingly bitter hop bite. Something missing in the middle. Too sweet, all hops on the finish. Not bad, but unbalanced. The sweetness might make this attractive to someone accustomed to lighter beers, but the bitter finish was aggressive. Would I drink again? yes. Would I order again? no.

Dark amber pour with minimal head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, pine resin, grass, citrus, and alcohol. The bitterness overwhelms the complex malt character, more like a double IPA. Excessive hopping makes this potentially great beer unbalanced. Palate is thick and oily with astringent hop bitterness. This barley wine is for hop heads only.

Nice caramel, hoppy aroma with some orange. Taste is well balanced malty hops with some citrus. Slightly bitter finish with orange peel. Minor alcohol taste. You really have to look for it. Really great beer.

Bomber. Dark reddish orange brown pour. Aroma is floral hops. Like from a past prime IPA. Taste is a bitter barleywine. This is half barleywine half old ipa.

Aroma is straight pineapple, taste has a hint of pineapple as well. However, taste is mostly citrus and pine hops, slight herbal notes, over caramel, with, as I mentioned, a hint of pineapple throughout. Good beer.
