COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover’s delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle pours rich amber brown. Frothy head laces nicely. Fantastic aroma that is inviting. Rich malt flavor with a nice amount of sweetness. The finish is nice and dry with some hop kick and alcohol. This is a very good barley wine.

Aroma is a lush blend of hops malt and yeast. Appearance is a thick cream colored long-lived head with plenty of Lace and a clear copper amber color. Flavor is very interesting, complex, and related to the palate. But there are some sharp points and edges from the bitterness & the acids from hops and carbonics. This is not a lightweight beer for Serious fans or Alky's. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Yellow Ape. Very leafy, dank, grassy hop nose with some light caramel hidden out back. Very bitter, very dank and hay-like. This is hugely hopped, but not in any way I really like. Barley gets completely left behind.

Look: pours a reddish copper color. Light tan head. Very clear. Smell: alcohol burn. Slight tropical fruit notes. Caramel. Taste: heavy alcohol. Hop forward. Slight citrus bitterness. Feel: extremely dry. Medium - low carbonation. Leaves a thick film on the mouth. Overall: ok beer. Too much alcohol for my palate. First drank: home 11/2/14

There’s a fine line between barleywine and double ipa... This is so close to the line it’s crazy. I feel like a bit of age would do this some good, because it’s extremely hoppy. But in all reality I like it a lot...
