Golden with hoppy, fruity and sweetish aroma.
A bit too sweer with notes of grapefruit.

(12 oz bottle) Hoppy, lightly roasty nose is certainly a good lead in to this somewhat unusual IPA. The dominant flavor isn’t really hops, though the moderately hops has solid presence and contribution. Instead, what comes out most for me is the lightly roasty flavor that really comes to the forefront in the long-lasting, bitter finish. Medium bodied, but also fairly clean and crisp. Medium golden color with a slightly hazy appearance. Average size to the off-white head on the pour, settling to and retaining a thin layer that leaves some spotty and patchy lacing on the glass. Decent IPA, but not one of my favorites.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very nice pale IPA. This one is easy to drink with a nice hop kick at the end. I would call this a "session" IPA if anything. Wonderfully citrus nose, but just lacks a bit of fullness on the tongue. Nicely done in any case.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an amber/gold color with a small but lasting head. Citrus and grapefruit aroma, not much malt. Taste fruity, bitter, very light malt, and like PorterPounder I do sense an essence of mint at the very end of the long, bitter finish. Interesting beer, not world class--could use some more malt backbone--but quite quaffable if I do say so myself.

Very nice IPA. Golden body with white head. Hard to pass this up and will always have a few in the fridge.

Had on tap at the Ginger Man in Austin, Tx. Medium copper pour, decent white head, fair amount of lacing. Typical west coast grapefruity hoppiness, which is expected and not unappreciated, it’s just that these are all tasting quite the same - but will not mark this one down for that!. An excellent example of the style - clean, crisp and sharp, like a West Coast IPA should be. A bit of light spearmint undertone separates this one from the mases. Good example of the Amercian IPA style.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2005 Served in bottle, had to ask for glass. Stupid waitress lost a bit on the tip for that one. Anyway, pours amber/brown with a small white head. Not an over the top IPA. Good session IPA. Slight malt with earthy hop with average bitterness. Mild grapefruit. Well made beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2005 The pour was orange with a MASSIVE rocky head that looked closer to the froth on a milk shake than a beer. Nice hop aroma but nothing else. The flavor was standard IPA with a sharp hop bite in the begining.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very light hop aroma, very light color, didn’t look to promising but the taste was 98% hop, not overwhelming but devoid of any malt taste and a nice treat for a hophead like myself

Poured a clear amber with a medium ized long lasting white head. A big citrus aroma, grapefruit and mandarins. Flavor lightly malty sweet with the middle and end hoopy and bitter. Medium bodied and slightly silky.
