COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Can. A clear dark golden to pale amber beer, with a large, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting, white head. The aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately to heavily hoppy (grapefruit, apricot, resin), with a note of orange. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightòy to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, very long finish with moderate to heavy bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Thinner than expected, but the final bitterness is pretty clean and pleasant. And it looks very nice. A good one.

On tap at 5280 in Denver airport. Gold colour. Bitter as all get out. Liked the bitterness. Left quite the tango mess on the tongue. Solid but I felt like it could have been a bit maltiet ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can 355 ml from Bier-Bienne (CH). A fresh and clean IPA, with aromas and taste of grapefruit, citrus, pine and grass and notes of toffy and exotic fruits. Nothing upsetting, bitter and caramel, salted note. Too bad the tin.

Pours a nice golden yellow. High carbonation but with little head. Very little aroma. Tastes of apple’s and apricot (almost like a fruit beer).

Damn good, hoppy IPA. Probably not something I could have stomached when I first got introduced to beer (when Keystone Light ruled), but something I love now. Progress in its best form. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For a hop head this was a pleasure to drink and enjoy. Great, great appearance, and even better taste. Split a 6 pack with my buddy and now wishing I had the balance. Oh well. Not a session beer but could still fit right in

Pours a clear golden yellow from the can with a frothy, white head. Smell of fresh citrus and hops. Sweet taste of malts balanced by the hops. Not too bitter, a great everyday IPA.

Smooth, easy to drink. Great for when you want an ipa but you aren’t looking for a hops over load.

This is a great ipa. Not too bitter and not too hoppy. Goes down smooth and is not very fruity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
