COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Hazy orange, nice active and even carbonation. Strong citrus pine aroma if a little undistinguished. Taste: good malt balance, a little honey, pine, citrus. Beginning finally to be underwhelmed by ipa. It’s solid.

Pours a yellow with an off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, lots of citrus. Taste is strong and bitter, a little soapy. Its very to the point, this beer. Not a bad brew.

Dry hopped version fresh at the Brewery. Pours a hazed bright orange copper and a thick massive sticky white head. Aroma is fruity tropical notes, lots of citrus, pine, mint, grass, centennial orange citrus, and some cascade lemon hints. Flavor is light cara malts, mostly fresh hops, leafy green, light phenol, good citrus, pine, grapefruit and lemon and a clean finish. Nice- a bit better than regular tap, and way better than bottle.

[on tap] Potent pine and grapefruit nose with nothing else detectable. Almost clear copper with a lasting, dense, white cover. Salty pine hops flavour with some resinous bitterness. Some sweet caramel as well. Well balanced sweet and bitterness and with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitter pine finish.

Citrusy, hoppy aroma. Pours light brownish orange, with thin head. Taste is citrus and bitter and hoppy. Very nice. Palate is thin, biting. Very nice IPA.

a very good ipa. Pours clear with a thin white head. A citrus sweet aroma, a little bit or orange. Good flavor, well balanced. Bitterness or orange, grapefruit, and some pine. Very good.

Hazy golden w a white head. A lot of american hops (grapefruite, pineapple) in the aroma but also a quite malty sweetness. The flavor is tropical fruits and a strong malty body. Dry bitter finish.
