COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Aroma: Smells is very citrus and hoppy. Smell is very nice

Appearance: Amber color that leans more toward an orange tint. Head is very thick

Taste: Very good tastes like it smells, but a little to oily for my liking

Palate: Hits quick and then fades

Overall: Very drinkable IPA

12oz bottle into standard pint glass. Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma of pine needles with a hint of citrus. Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Flavor of hops balanced out with with some caramel flavors from malts. Decent ipa.

Bottle @ Oliver Twist. Strangely I never had this one before. Hazy golden color, short head. Flowery aroma, hoppy. Grapefruit taste, slight sweet note. Decent american IPA.

pours golden straw and clear. Small off-white head. some lacing. Aroma of pine, resin, and citrus way upfront w/ caramel malts in the background. Medium body and carbonation. hop bitterness on the tongue that lingers well past the finish. Pine, resin, and citrus without much malt to back it up. The caramel tries to balance but is not up to the task.

Clear golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with pine and some floral notes. Taste is earthy with pine, resin, orange and floral flavours. Long bitter finish.

Intense pine/citrus and malty bouquet. Medium body is bitter and hoppy without the requisite--to my mind--balance of malt to withstand such aggressive hopping. I much prefer their Maharaja Imperial.

Poured honey yellow with off-white, lacing head. Pine, grapefruit, malts, caramel, white grapes and plenty hops in the aroma. Medium dense and carbonation. Sweet honey taste with long lasting bitter aftertaste. Really good!

Pours a light amber. Aroma of citrus hops and some earth. Taste is medium bodied with a nice palate. Good for the price.
