COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Can to tulip. Clear gold in color with a medium sized head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is resiny, skunky, and floral. Flavor profile matches the nose with the addition of cereal malt for weight. Medium body, soft carbonation, thin-oily texture, and a bitter finish.

On tap at Venti’s South. Solid India Pale Ale. Big hoppy flavors with nice bitterness from start to finish. Some grapefruit and other citrus flavors. Strong malt sweetness in the background. Big bitter finish. Tasty.

Draft at CAH. Pours a clear bright golden straw color with head and lacing. Nose is mild with spicy hops, first sip is bitter with grapefruit which yields to slight clean fruity malt flavors followed by lingering bitterness.

I don’t know what it was, but the sample I got of this beer was pretty awful. Clear golden pour with a small sudsy white head. Diaper and rot, turning to dirt, citrus, and dankness. Flavor is actually much better. Citrus peel, orange, grass, and herbals with a medium palate and low carbonation.

Had this from a bottle, can and on tap. Solid IPA: Hoppy, solid bitter finish, something sweet in there too... good one to start the day with.
