COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

35cl Can at Beer Temple. Clear orange/amber colour, offwhite head. Aroma of a cheap strong lager, grain, toilet refreshener, really off. Flavour is cheap strong lager, sweet, grainy, pine, raw bitter finish. Light-bodied, fizzy. Utter disappointment.

Can from CBB, Light gold pour with a thin white head. A funky barnyard nose unexpected in an IPA. The taste is zesty, citrus, light bitterness, some pine in the finish but I would be more likely to call this a hoppy saison than a true IPA.

12oz in Seattle. Good medicinal tart hop. Solid hop. Very rich, clean copper. Fresh hop bitter. Very nice beer.

From a 355ml bottle on 5/2/2014. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange with a small head. Has quite a powerful aroma of toffee and caramel, with fruity and floral notes also present. Taste wise, this quite a malty IPA, with toffee and butterscotch most prominent, but there’s also a good dash of sweet citrus and stone fruit present as well. The hops kick in late, with a big, very dry bitterness balancing things out. The palate is a touch velvety and the carbonation average. This is a really good malt driven IPA - it almost has a touch of barley wine about it. Delicious stuff.

I enjoyed this IPA. Fairly bitter, but nicely balanced. Strong but not over powering. Floral aroma is nice.

As others have said, the aroma is fruity floral tropical. Very malt forward but nicely balanced at the end. Hop notes are smooth and refined vs. harsh and strongly bitter. Malty is most dominant quality.

Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt and a little hop essence. Tastes of bitter stale hops and a slight maltiness. Long, bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft on the slopes in Breckenridge. Pours clear amber with a thin, fizzy off white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like malt, hops, dry pine, resin. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet malt, citrus, and musk.

Tap. Pours clear orange with fizzy white head. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, grassy and floral hops, lemon zest, and orange peel. Flavor is sharp hop bitterness forward with supporting dry malts, grapefruit and citrus esters, and faint toast; dry finish with some lingering bitterness. Medium body and low carbonation.

Bevuta in lattina che a mio avviso accentua l’erbaceo del luppolo, esplosioni citriche e agrumate la rendono bella gustosa
