COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Flaske 0,355l på Bar & Cigar, Oslo 16 Feb 10. Aprikosfarget. Litt uklar. Dempet fruktig aroma. Innslag av melon. Litt sitron. Lavt skum som etterlater mønster på glasset. Smak av sitrus - og igjen litt melon - som glir over i grapefrukt. Syrlig bitter ettersmak.

Pours a cloudy gold with a medium head. Aroma of citrus, pine and some bready malt. Nice bitter taste up front with a solid malt backbone a dry finish. A very drinkable IPA...very well-balanced. This is actually one of the first IPAs I ever drank (about 15 years ago). Not as hoppy as I remember it from back then, but still a very solid brew.

12 oz. bottle- Pours golden with a thick white head and average lacing, aroma is citrusy hops and fresh pine. The flavor is a very traditional IPA, it has a mellow and hoppy drinkability, but doesn’t push any boundaries.

Pours a hazy gold from a 12oz bottle. Smell is good, though indistinct. Tastes bitter yet well-balanced, notes of pine and lemon. A solid IPA, one I’ll go back for at some point. Right up there with California IPAs, but lacks the complexity to put it over the top.

My favorite IPA so far. A cloudy orange/hazel color, slight head formation. Very smooth mouth feel, refreshing brew. Aroma is floral/spruce and earthy. The taste is strong of pine and cloves, a bit bitter on the aftertaste. On tap at the Yard House.

Got this in a great BIF package. Pours a clear yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is hops and hard candy. Taste is a clean with great hop mouthfeel and mild bitterness. Great beer that is just a stripped down IPA. Doesn’t try to be more than it is. Just a great beer.
