COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Bottle. Pours murky orange with white head that lingers. Hop aroma over mild carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice pillowy head and hazy orange complexion. Smells of sweet grapefruit and grass. Taste is similar, but nicely blossoming on palate, with muted carmel malt undertones. Remarkably smooth finish with no bitter bite. Good, solid IPA.

A nice golden color with nice hops aroma. An excellent mouthfeel with at first a sweet taste then a nice bitter finish. An enjoyable beer I will drink again.

Pours orange with white head that dissipates quickly from the can. The nose is lots of hops with citrus. On the palate its loaded with the bitter hops and those citrus notes you smelled. Good overall IPA that hangs around on the palate well after leaving you wanting another drink. Good beer.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Hops, hops and more hops. Did I mention hops? Everything that an American version of an IPA should be. A citrus aroma belies the bittery goodness as the beer announces its arrival on your palate. Smooth malty finish.

Pours pale orange and clear with a light layer of froth. Nose is spicy, fruity, overripe fruits, sweet sticky fruity hops, light sweet malts. Flavor is similar. Very oddly fruity for a beer that isn’t advertised as using a lot of New Zealand hops. Really reminds me of Galaxy. Pretty enjoyable beer.

Good beer. A bit acid with the bitter. Nice pour and lacing. I'd buy it again. Beer guy at the bottle shop said "good choice!" - Snowboards and IPA
