COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

This is my favorite IPA, i am a manager of a Restaurant & Wine/Beer Shop in NC and this is the best selling beer that i carry. Not only because it is a personal favorite but because of the overall quality. great balance of malts and citrus hops.

Bottle. Nice. Pours a cloudy pale orange. Perfect 3/4" lacy head. All citrus and hops. Pleasing bitter aftertaste. Followed it with a Dogfish 60 min, which surpisingly presented an unsavory sweetness. A straight-ahead IPA (not overly complex).

I loved the map on the label. I tried this beer on June 18, 2009 at ’The Beer Bistro’ in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a hazy orange-gold with a rocky white head. The aroma was malt, hops, and pine. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was crisp, some malt, and a bitter grapefruit. Enjoyable.

This is a good representation of a classic IPA. Pours copper with a nice head solid aroma of traditional English hops. Nice sweet malt balance finishes with a good hop bite. Flavors of pine and earth, carrot and bark. Well balanced this beer good.

Draft @ Yardhouse in Miami. Pours hazy golden orange color with white head. Pine hop aroma. Bitter hop flavor with a touch of malt sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation.

Bottle from Sun Devil. Pours golden in color with a frothy off-white head. Looks and smells almost like a pilsner with notable yeast in the nose. Plenty of malt in the flavor with mild citrus and pine in the taste. Fair, at best, but I might have gotten an old bottle.

mmm, mmm, mmm, nice tangerine hue, some clouds with white foamy fluffy head, nice lacing, smell of hay and some pine, looks like citrus fruit and tastes like sweet hop nector, medium body and carbonation, nice balance, not overly biitter. Just very drinkable, over and over.

A very smooth IPA, with a great aroma full of fruit and grass. Just about perfect bitterness. Love it!
