COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

This poured a cloudy orange color with an off white head. Aroma was of fresh pine trees and malts. Flavor was also nice and hoppy mainly pine with hints of citrus and grapefruit as well. Pretty good stuff.

Pours a slightly hazy deep gold color with a small but lasting head. Sweet caramel malt aroma up front, taken over by pine and citrus peel hops. Flavor is pretty evenly balanced, but goes to the pine hops on the finish. Nice lingering bitterness. Smooth on the palate for an IPA. Pretty good stuff.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange. No head. Aroma is balanced and not too hoppy with a little yeast mixed in. Flavor is a combination of a fresh citrus hop and subdued malt. Has a nice bitter finish and is very smooth. Solid IPA.

Hoppy pine and citrus aroma. Lacking much of a head, but still a nice straw color, but a slight chill haze. The flavor is sharply, but not unpleasantly, bitter. The finish is a little sweet to help smooth that bitterness out. Hops are piney, maybe a bit citrusy. Bitterness lingers. Overall, a solid American IPA, but I dont think it stands out.

Tremendous IPA. V picked this up for me in a mix-six from World Market. This is a brewery that I am going to have to catch up on, their stuff is really good.

A great brewery, and a solid beer. Bitter, well rounded hop. Ends with a dry resin feel/taste.

pours a deep gold colour with a large foamy head. Aroma is caramel and almost cakey sweet malts, citrus, some pine tones. Flavour is crisp malt, grapefruity citrus but more pine hop in the flavour for me. Finishes slightly dry bitter. Very nice.

On top at the Pearl Street Pub. Pours a darker orange. Smells mainly piney and hoppy. Tastes of columbus hops mostly, very piney. A solid IPA.
