4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Jvezp (23) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 10, 2011
From a can. The appearance isn’t totally on style being light amber, but it does taste amazing. Avery knows how to brew a great IPA. It’s crisp with an awesome malty taste. This IPA is an instant hit, great eastside IPA or (colorado’esque IPA). I’ve got the maharaja waiting, and i can’t wait. It’s balanced as hell!!!

Difficile de la présenter mieux que ça: Voici la petite cousine de la Dugana...Le houblon ne tombe jamais bien loin de l’arbre.

Pours a pale orange with a fluffy white head. Nose and taste are of hops- floral, citric, and a solid malt back bone to finish it off. A very decent IPA
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ben4321 (2056) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/25/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy with some nice resin, grapefruit, and pine notes to it
Appearance: It pours a slightly cloudy orange color with bright white head that leaves spotty lacing
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, and heavy bitter with similar components to the nose
Palate: The body is medium (leaning full), and it has a sticky mouthfeel that is on style
Overall Impression:
This was one of those "are you kidding me I haven’t rated that?" beers. Now it is not. I’m enjoyed Avery’s IPA before, but I guess I haven’t posted a rating on any of those prior occasions. A very solid IPA, that is what it is trying to be. Right on style, and rather well-made.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BrooHa (93) - New York, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Pours a clear amber hue with lots of active bubbles. Grapefruit and pine. Sweet and sharp hop bite. Caramelly. Finishes with residual sticky sweetness. This is really delicious. May drink a lot of these instead of my usual Stone IPA for a while.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SamP01 (186) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 20, 2011
Pours a nice golden / amber with a nice medium white head. Sweet floral citrus hops, some nice grapefruit and fruity notes and malt aroma fill the nose.Taste is sweet caramel malts, citrus, grapefruit notes with some nice earthy, citrus hops. Nice crisp medium body with moderate carbonation on the palate. Finish is sweet caramel biscuit malt, some yeast flavor as it warms up, nice subtle citrus grapefruit notes and nice citrusy earthy hops ending. Overall a very nice, solid easy drinking IPA
