COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Canned. Deep golden with an average sized head. Inviting aroma of mandarin orange, grapefruit, caramel and clotted cream. Average carbonation. Nice C-hop profile. Sweetish. Balanced. Good malt back. Medium bodied. Some lacework. Dry finish which is reminiscent of resinous hops, grapefruit and mandarin orange. Flawless and delicious.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. The Avery IPA pours a clear golden yellow with a hint of orange with a decent creamy beige head that lasts a long while. The aroma is wheat, citrus, floral and caramel. The flavor is citrus and floral up front with a bit of wheat blended in and a nice caramel finish. Overall this is a nicely balanced IPA with plenty of hops and enough malts to lure in the non-hop heads.

A good approachable IPA. Not a top class beer but one I would happily drink when given the chance.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Aroma - Probably not as overwhelming as it would be fresh, but a decent smelling beer. Appearance - great pour. Clear golden color with a nice finger of creamy head. Taste - Nice smooth taste. Very refreshing. Palate - Not a huge lingering taste like I like, but it doesn’t have a skunky taste, so thats good. Overall - Solid IPA, not the best IPA, but would definitely have again

Golden color , nice white head. Intensive pine aroma with caramel malt and some citrus. Smooth and polished IPA taste with decent bitterness , but not sharp. Perfect IPA.

Aroma is citrus hops but well balanced, not over aggressive. Dark golden color, huge white head of foam. Tastes hoppy but not over the top. Well balanced and even has a roasty quality to it. Very good, unique and worth a try. I'll be looking for it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very solid and well rounded IPA. Light pour, hoppy aroma. Smooth and sweet mouthfeel and middle. Hops at the finish. Moderate alcohol.

Clear golden pour with a single finger head. Lots of lace. Aroma is a little flat and muted. This can isn’t overly fresh. Light mouth. Taste is a little muted too. Kind of watery. Some citrus, but all in the background. A little bitterness at the end to round this out. Not a huge fan of this, but could have been an old can.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste citrus, pine, like a good ipa. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
