4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A great IPA. Very pale golden color, with creamy white head. Heavy lacing. Piney and citrusy hop aromas dominate. Flavor follows aroma with the hop bitterness dominating. Definitely off-balance in terms of malts and hops...but for those of us who enjoy truly hoppy west coast IPA’s, this is a good beer.

355ml can. Clear light amber, white head. Smells of caramel with hoppy herbaceous notes and some sweet fruits. Taste is a lot of hops and a good malty backbone. Very good bitter finish and hoppy aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Somewhat peachy hoppy aroma, with some barnyard/lemongrass type aromas. Nice amount of malt, hop balances the malt nicely. Really well balanced ipa, but hop profile is not quite what I am after. Very nice though. Peachy with a bitter finish. Quite a bit if hops. Actually the more I drink the more I like it. Some fruity hops balanced by a bitter hop finish.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Presentation: It was poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into pint glass. The label has no abv info.
Appearance: Avery IPA has an orange tan body with some fine sediment. On top is about a one fingers thick, light tan head which fades quickly to just a thin film that sticks to the edge of the glass.
Smell: The nose has a big fruity and juicy hop presence with loads of tropical fruit, orange rind and sweet malt with a hint of bread yeast.
Tast/palate: It’s flavor first hits you with big juicy hops right up front. The malt offers some sweetness for balance before a big citrus rind/pith like bitterness slowly sneaks in on the sides and lingers on palate. The palate feels fairly full and there is just enough carbonation to give it some lift.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The first thing in noticed about this one was the color. I really like the color of this beer I don’t know why. I’m sure all the beers I enjoy honestly have the same appearance but for some reason this one just jumped at me and I was like oh shit that looks nice. Anyway, the aroma is really nice on this one. Soft fruit is what hit me. Like peach. I don’t know why but peach just stood out and maybe nectarine. I really like it. The taste speaks for itself. It’s wonderful. Just perfect fast for an IPA. Nothing off on this one. Nothing weird. No weird sweet malty mess which always seems to haunt me with IPA’s. Killer stuff. Highly recommended. I got this beast in a 6 pack of can’s and it was phenomenal. I can only imagine what it’s like on tap. Cheers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour from bottle in Killeen Texas. Light amber with a thin white head. A good IPA that doesn't try to make it overly fancy like other microbrews sometimes do. Not great, but pretty good stuff. Duces.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a fairly light golden color with a medium head. Strong and somewhat dank aroma. Hints of citrus but nothing really stands out. Taste is good and bitter from the start. The bitterness is balanced by flavors of caramel and candied fruit before the tart finish comes through. Good, complex flavor and quite drinkable.

355ml bottle from The Beer Cellar Rating from January 2014. Hazy orange amber in colour with some good lacing left on the glass. Not overly hopped but still plenty of resinous hop flavour.

Bottle to a flute at PF Changs. Clear golden pour with thick foamy white head lots if lacing. Full of effervescence, very lively. Hop forward aroma, great citrus floral and pine notes. Flavor follows nose with crisp dry finish. Tasty!
