The color is topaz with a light head. Very thick lacing. The taste is sharp and hoppy without being overbearing. It’s a great IPA!!
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 calicool (16) - Keller, Texas, USA - SEP 2, 2004
Nice balance of Hops and Barley. Tons of character. Crisp with a bitter finish. A very satisfying and exciting brew.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 dpointer74 (16) - Lubbock, Texas, USA - DEC 16, 2005
This is a great looking beer. The head is rich and foamy and the color is perfect for an IPA. The flavor is a bit hop intense, even for the style, but not so much that it’s overpowering. Overall, a very good IPA.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Mahoning (15) - - FEB 28, 2012

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 jwager (15) - Cary, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2009
This is a great ipa. I immediately liked the flavor and I found the bitterness smooth and not overpowering. When I taste a beer I want to taste it and this one delivers. There is a meat to this balanced beer!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ditch (14) - Dale City, Virginia, USA - NOV 3, 2009
Poured a hazy orange gold color with a thick two finger head that hangs around for the duration. Nice chunky lacing that sticks and stays on the sides of the glass.
Aroma is very nice. Citrus of lime and grapefruit. followed by a sweetness.
Taste is of earthy citrus. More fresh grapefruit and a little lemon peel zest. nice sweet balance from the barley. Very well balanced.
Mouthfeel is slightly oily with a dry finish. Carbonation complements nicely.
Drinkability is good here also. Could make for an all night drinker. Every time I try this beer it seems to get better and better. Definitely a must for IPA lovers.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 r1dermon (14) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 11, 2010
this was sort of average for me. pours a budweiser head that receeds quickly and barely any hint of lacing. aromas are citrusy oranges, grapefruits, hint of lemon. body is on the thin side and there is no malt to be found, kind of one dimentional with the overpowering grapefruit on the palate as well...a decent IPA, but there’s better for the money.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 152219 (14) - USA - MAR 22, 2008
12 oz bottle purchased from Central Market in Dallas, TX. Poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Golden orange with a small white creamy head and a small amount of carbonation.
Aroma: A nice hoppy aroma with a caramel malt. The hops smell of orange.
Taste: Nice pine flavored hops initially hit the palate and linger a bit. A nice caramel taste with a bit of citrus and apricots. A bit of a thin mouthfeel
Overall: Very easy to drink IPA.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 grampageoff (14) - arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2009
Pours pale gold with a long lasting, big fluffy white head. Really awesome lacing. Nose is floral and citrus hops with a little malt/ corn smell. Taste is hops with a hint of malt and a nice bitter/malty aftertaste. Overall the hops dominate but it’s not overwhelming. Mouthfeel is about what you’d expect for the style. Not bad at all.
