3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 tronraner (2429) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - MAY 6, 2006
Bottle. Pours brass-colored with a dune of tight white head. The aroma is mostly hops, but has a distinct malty undertone to it as well. The flavor is quite piney with some hints of apple over a slightly earthy malt. The finish is sharp, bitter, and floral. This is a very tasty IPA.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 iowaherkeye (2429) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 24, 2006
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2006 Pours a clear golden with a small-mod sized diminishing head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine needles, also some caramel malt backing. Taste follows the aroma. Moderate bitterness just after the intial sour hop bite, and fades into a slightly sweet finish. Not terribly complex, but for what it is, it’s a pretty good beer.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Vac (2420) - Capistrano Beach, California, USA - MAR 21, 2004
This IPA pours with an amber body topped by a thick off whitehead with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is bitter, hoppy and woody with soapy notes and, well, it smells like ass. The flavor is equally shitty and very bitter. Medium bodied and slightly dry.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUN 17, 2002
a nice IPA. thick, hazy orange/copper color. medium head. The hop was citrus/slightly grapefruity. almost enough malt, but not quite. thin finish.(that, and the lack of malt balance are what keep it in the ’average-IPA’ category for me.)
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DrnkMcDermott (2391) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAY 27, 2009
12 oz. bottle. Had to grab something to get the awful Shiner Leicht out of my palate. This saves me with a nice whiff of grapefruit hops as soon as I pop the cap. Pours a cloudy IPA orange with a rocky head, dwindling with a bit of lace. Taste actually starts with thick, creamy malts, close to a caramel chew. Cheek to cheek with our favorite American hops; the 3C’s plus a puckery smack of Amarillos, I think. Like gargling with Pine-Sol, but in a good way. Keeps its balance all the way down. Yay.

A light and delicious pale ale. Aroma of floral hops. Pour was a dark gold with no head. Taste was all floral hops with a hint of malt in the background.

This poured a cloudy orange color with an off white head. Aroma was of fresh pine trees and malts. Flavor was also nice and hoppy mainly pine with hints of citrus and grapefruit as well. Pretty good stuff.

Bottle. Golden yellow with a large white foamy head. A hop filled citrus and floral aroma. A crisp clean IPA.
