COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2004 Gold-copper, color with a fair amount of carbonation. Strong flowery hop aroma. Some orange and a hint of spice as well. Flavor is more piney and resinous. Could be better balanced. Hops linger forever through the finish.

Pungent kind bud hoppy aroma. very light tea color with a large fluffy white head. Big citrusy hop flavors, but you can taste a lot of malty/grain flavors beneath that. Finishes with a bit of floral sweetness and then leaves a bitter aftertase. A nicely done IPA.
