COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Pours golden with big fluffy white head. Decent c-hops aroma, very little malt backing. Flavor is rather bland in front with a decent bitter hop finish. Feel a little let down.

(Bottle) Pours a dark golden color with a small head. Sweet, citrusy aroma. Nice solid palate, with average carbonation. Balanced flavor, which increases this beer’s drinkability. Nothing too wild here, but a very good IPA overall.

Suprised it took me this long to rate this beer. Aroma is earthy with pine, it’s hoppy and very pleasant. The body is a nice gold hue with a very thin white head. Taste is very smooth without uneven edges.

Aroma is poor as is coloration... not off to a good start. Scent is slightly skunky... hops are faint, especially for an IPA. Looks thin and light. Flavor is OK, but it feels really thin until the hops start to kick in. Flavors are nice, but weak.

Appearance: Golden yellow with a nice amount of carbonation and a nice white head. Aroma: Ahh cat piss! Lots of hops, bitterness is mouthwatering, malt, peaches - very nice. Flavour: Cat piss again, delicious, lots of dry bitterness and a pine resin in the finish.

orange with a small off white head. Aroma is hoppy, earthy, resinous, with malt and grains, taste is grapefruit, citrus hops with a sweet, and lightly fruity middle, dry and bitter long lasting finish.

Great IPA with solid roasted malt base and VERY bitter grapefruit and pine hop bitterness. This is one of my favorite session type IPAs.

Pours a clear light amber, plenty of head/lace. I like the aroma, remarkabally floral. This has a fairly nice balance in the flavor with a good malt backbone for the stong hop bitterness. I like the citrus on this, it is very well controlled by more pine and herbal bitterness.
