walter (359), Staunton, Virginia, USA Dec 13, 2007 Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Bright gold with white head, a bit light compared to a lot of IPAs, but very pretty. Really fresh hops in the nose, mostly orange and lemon citrus, with some herbal notes in the background. Flavor is again a hop fiesta, really fresh and juicy, over a nicely sweet light malt. Medium hops bitterness throughout balances everything nicely. Full and creamy, with a citrusy aftertaste. This was just delightful, really nicely done!
1010 (23), Marysville, Ohio, USA Sep 4, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a thick carbonated white head. Smells of sweet hops. dkachur (781), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 31, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Golden orange pour with a medium head, good retention and lacing. A sweet malty aroma with leafy hop notes. Very malty IPA, sweet, with lots of bitter hop notes in the finish. Slightly sticky and full bodied. joeymacaroni (116), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 29, 2008 first of all, I really appreciate the label on the beer. alot of people that come through my bar have no clue why IPA’s are called IPA’s, and i think the art on the bottle is innovative and explanatory. that being said, the beer pours hazy deep gold/straw with a nice foamy white head. floral nose of resin and citrus. flavor is hoppy, mostly citrus. lemon peel and grapefruit. finish is lots of malts with a residual bitterness at the back of the throat. bubbly and oily. actually somewhat medium-bodied in my humble opinion. still, not bad at all! knights97 (53), Tennessee, USA Aug 24, 2008 Updated: Aug 26, 2008Really looking forward to this beer, as it’s suppose to be for beer lover. The aroma was great, pours to a golden yellow body with a nice white head, looked great but didn’t much for this beer. The first taste was overpowering with nothing but a citrus taste, way to strong and while this is a medium body beer, I couldn’t taste much hops, most likely got a bad beer and will retry in time phishpond417 (1420), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Pours a bright, but cloudy orange colour- head is fairly large- white and floral. Nice citrusy character, soft and piney but typicaly hopped. My only complaint about this brew is- there’s nothing exciting about it. Pretty standard for the most part. Nothing unique, lots of hops and fruit but basic overall.
