COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

12 oz can poured into a 20 oz tulip. Nose is an interesting blend of floral hops and college kegger. Beautiful golden color with soapy white head that quickly dissipates into a durable lacing. Crisp mouth - eminently drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice and easy drinking. No foam. Taste stays for a while. Quite nice for an IPA :-)

Burk på Oliver Twist. Klar mörkgul vätska med fint skum. Doftar blommigt och av citrus. Bra balans mellan malten och humlen, kanske lite frän humlebeska om man ska vara kinkig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours slightly hazy gold, nice two finger head with loads of lacing and retention. Aroma of grapefruit, wildflower and pine. Taste is perfectly balanced starting bitter with a nice sweet malt under belly. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, sticky mouth feel. Finishes complex with notes of grapefruit, herbs, melon, spruce and resin. Dries nicely in the "bitter" end. This is an awesome IPA.

This IPA is perfectly balanced between hops, malt, alcohol, and CO2.Hoppy, bitter, a little on the austere side of malt if leanness and crispness if you style. Oveall, as refreshing as a dip in the pool on a hot summer day.

Bottle to Founders Can Glass. Short head , gold, medium gold appearance. Average carbonation. Aroma tells me this is dated some nor was it refrigerated when bought. Metallic minerally aroma with bready malts and hidden but noticeable ripe fruit tropical like almost banana. Taste has a hop stinging bite with strong hop flavor piney with some robust malt character, heavy toasted malt/ roasted light/medium caramel malts. Delivers on the hop flavor/bitter. Could be fresher, one of the better ipas for me.

I'm no beer sommelier, but as a regular joe that loves to try new brews this one is very intense on the hoppiness. Which i love. It also has a bitter finish and in my opinion is not for the novice IPA drinker. Upon the pour, avery ipa is an amber color with a thin white head. Delicious but as i said a bit bitter on the finish

CAN 355 ML from CH-303. Look: clear golden-amber, ivory fluffy head. Aroma: citrus and some resinous and minty notes „rounded” by malt candy, marmalade and biscuit. Taste: soft hops, light grapefruit citrus, „soft” resin well balanced by the biscuit and fruity malts, nice clean and dry bitterness without any trace of tannins. Very well!

Standard IPA in a can. I'd like to give it a try on tap. Will drink again.

Owe this a rerate after I get a fresh one. From the can. Aroma of earthy hop, pine, and dirty malt. Pours amber with a big sticky head. Taste is old red grapefruit, dirt, pine, and a muddled bitter malt finish. Very bitter but so dark in color and tone that it was not very enjoyable. Maybe I just don’t like CO IPA’s.

Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of light resin, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is medium fruit bitter with resin bitter finish. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation.
