COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Clear golden color with a nice white head that sticks around. Great aroma of piney hops, citrus, and grapefruit. Excellent hop flavor. I don’t know what kinds of hops are used in this (Cascade, I guess), but they add a nice spiciness and a very pleasant bitter finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and a little oily, with the perfect amount of carbonation. I’m a huge fan of IPAs, and this is just how I like them. Definitely one of my favorite IPAs.; very refreshing and highly drinkable. I personally enjoy this more than Bell’s Two Hearted. Definitely a great choice for any hophead.

the best overall ipa i have had. super good on the nose and with an awesome finish. not overpowering on the hops so it is very drinkable (sometimes too drinkable). on draft is best but bottles are just fine too. ask for it!

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Norfolk, VA. Hazy orange pour with a creamy white head. Bright floral and citrus hop aroma. Nice hop bitterness of grapefruit, tangerines, and pineapple. I have overlooked this IPA far too long. This is one of the best I have had.

Bottle and draft. I just recently got back into this one. What a wonderful IPA. Citrus/grapefruit notes on the first sip, with an amazing mix of malt/hop bit on the finish. WONDERFUL IPA. Reminds me of a West Coast IPA, which I’m a big fan of. Highly recommended. Seek it out!

When I moved to Colorado and asked the locals what the best IPA in the state was, this is the beer that the majority of locals pointed me toward. Well, I’ve probably bought and finished off 5-6 6-packs of this brew over the years, and I think that it ranks right up there with the best. Great fresh hop aroma and taste with a lingering fresh hopped aftertaste. This is a very drinkable highly hopped beer, and I recommend it to all IPA drinkers.

taster at the brewery. Looks pale apricot with off white thick head. Smells of beautiful floral hops. Tastes of even more with a bit of citrus and pine. Great ipa!. overall 9 of 10.
