COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Pours crystal clear and filtered with a huge frothy head. Medium amber color. Smells of fruity hops... many of them! Tastes like a hoppy meal! Not overly hoppy, but not malty either. I think they nailed this! Ogglethorp from W. Virginny must be hammered already because this beer is not hazy, its clear/. Bubbles off the palate nicely// Overall, a sweet treat/

12oz bottle. Filtered and lively, bubbling. Orange, copper hued. Finger of white head. Bright citrusy nose. Slightly doughy malty, spicy aromas. Fuller and lively. Crisp. Dry. Fruity notes. Spicy and zesty. Great full blown hop flavor. Fruits like grapefruit and apples. I really liked this brew!

bottle - Pours coppery with a medium sized head that leaves ample lacing. The aroma has lots of citrus hops with grapefruit coming in especially strong. Strong citrus hops lead the flavor. They’re crisp and balanced by just enough malt to keep them in check. Rich and enjoyable, this beer is a fine example of the style.

Appearance: Golden yellow with a nice amount of carbonation and a nice white head. Aroma: Ahh cat piss! Lots of hops, bitterness is mouthwatering, malt, peaches - very nice. Flavour: Cat piss again, delicious, lots of dry bitterness and a pine resin in the finish.

Great on draft, which ive had the pleasure of trying at the flying saucer in ft worth. Smells great, good on the palate as most IPAs are. flavor in spades, highly bitter and hoppness overload. clean and crisp.

Draft at the Dog and Pony. One of the better piney IPAs, no doubt. Big bubbly white head on a clear golden amber body. Steady rising carb, though not a surging rush of it by any means. Crisp, clean pine, grapefruit, grass, and a hint of sweet malt on the nose. Medium body and tingly, active carb, though not too much at all for the style. Very dimensional and rich hop notes throughout the palate. Malt is there but it’s really just to encourage the hops if they start to feel shy. Wonderful stuff.

Part of a beer and cheese tasting at the Brick Store Pub in Decatur, GA. The cheese was Sweet Grass Green Hill Double Cream. The beer came from a bottle. It had a very frothy head that was very slow to diminish and left minimal lacing on the glass. It was a deep golden color. There was an overwhelming pine hop aroma to this guy. The taste was piney resin upfront with a very malt/grain flavor at the end. It was very nice.
