COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Pours a clear, bright copper orange with a thin white head with light whispy lacing. Has a bold, fresh, grapefruity hop aroma with a touch of dry biscuity malt. Starts relatively thick, full and bittersweet with lots of hop presence and decent malty balance. Finishes crisp and lightly sweet with hints of citrus and hop resin. A very enjoyable and drinkable IPA.

golden color with white head, nice citrus and floral aroma. Well balanced between malt and the citrus and floral hops. nice bitter hop finish, not the hop monster like some IPA's, but a very pleasurable drinking experience nonetheless.

Head is average, color is golden amber. Nose is very floral and citric. Citris and hops dominate. Definitely buy this again.

Dry hopped version fresh at the Brewery. Pours a hazed bright orange copper and a thick massive sticky white head. Aroma is fruity tropical notes, lots of citrus, pine, mint, grass, centennial orange citrus, and some cascade lemon hints. Flavor is light cara malts, mostly fresh hops, leafy green, light phenol, good citrus, pine, grapefruit and lemon and a clean finish. Nice- a bit better than regular tap, and way better than bottle.

Slightly hazy gold. White, frothy head. Fresh, flowery grapefruit & pine aroma. Sticky feel. Lovely, restrained, hop flavour of grapefruit & pine, nicely balanced w/ just enough malt.

On tap at Papago. Very good IPA. Citrusy and floral hop aroma. Clear golden color, white head. Nice hop flavor, plenty of bitterness. Good malt backbone. Medium body. Overall, very well-balanced IPA.
