COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

The aroma was nice w/ orange zest, pine, and grapefruit. The flavor pretty much the same w/ a slight hint of flowers. The beer poured a golden orange color w/ thin head and thin lasting lacing. The mouthfeel was light and creamy.

Bottle courtesy of biz82. Pours a slightly hazy bubbly copper with an average size diminishing fluffy off-white head. Aroma is big time hops, both citrus and floral. Flavour’s the same, big floral and citrus hops taste along with a good amount of sweet malt to balance it out and a nice long bitter dry finish -- delicious! Medium bodied. Very easy to drink and really flavourful, this is a top-notch session IPA.

Golden appearance with a creamy white head. Nice lace. Aroma had pine, lime, citrus, graitfruit and caramel. Hops and malts are well balanced in the taste. Nice and sweet bitterness.

Good floral aroma to this one like walking into a flower shop and taking a good wiff. Body was a golden cololor. White head that was decent. Citrus hop flavor that most IPA have was good. Cool and crisp on the palate. Great beer after a day of work.

Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a large foamy off white head that left lots of lacing. Aroma is very nice. First picked up orange and grapefruit from the hops. Sweet aroma overall. Maybe a touch of floral hops. Flavor is grapefruit, pine with a slight malt balance. A solid IPA for sure.

This was an absolutely delicious IPA...probably one of the better IPAs I’ve had next to Alesmith (of course some of the march IPAs are always a bit better). Pours an apple juice color and has hardly any head. Smell is of sweet florals and creamy citrus hops. Flavor is similar...but amazingly balanced. Smooth and medium bodied. Really impressed.

Rocky, white and long-lasting over honey-hazed golden/copper with light carbonation. Laces like a strip-mine. Hops are prominent yet mild in the aroma appearing as juicy pink grapefruit. Flavor starts with incredible balance (making me think this is rather mild), but the hops somehow manage to intensify in the mouth to bring out bitter orange rind and pepper in the finish. Dishrag appears occasionally in aroma and flavor but does not detract from the experience. Somewhat thin on the palate, but a competitive IPA nonetheless.

Clear gold/copper. Small, fizzy, off white head. Pungent, venomous, resinous, floral, piney hops dominate the nose. Tasting adds citrus notes and subtle malt support. Nowhere near balanced, which in my oppinion is a good thing for an IPA. I want a face full of hops when I reach for an IPA. The medium palate is balanced though, which is also a good thing. Solid brew.
