COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Beautiful copper color with a giant head. The aroma is sweet, hoppy, fruity (oranges, grapefruit and apricots) and with some vanilla. The body is full, malty, almost chewy even if the gravity is not high, with lovely hop resins and good fruitnees; mellow feeling. At this ABV, excellent!

Pours a deep golden amber with a nice fluffy egg white head and some great sticky lacing. Aroma is slightly medicinal, hoppy and finally dirty dishwater, also some peppermint and herbs upon second smell. This is a great over the top hoppy IPA with some very fresh lively acidity, citrusy zing and just slightly under-balanced on the malt side, but it works for it, as it comes through in a toasty, bready aftertaste. The finish is very crisp and dry, leaving you wanting more. Very nice and clean!

Golden honey color with a slight brown tint. Head is thick, long lasting and white. Very hoppy smell- powerful, ruby-red grapefruit contrasted exquisitely with sweet pear. Strong and succulent flavor. Pine, peach, pear, and grapefruit all teeter on the brink of sweet and bitter without tipping the scale in favor of one. Good balance, very tasty. Bittersweet aftertaste. This is one of the better IPA’s out there, especially for those like me who enjoy sweeter IPA’s. Brought to me by my good friend Jeremy from Rochester, NY.

Appearance: clear, pale orange color, fine, if short, off-white head. Aroma: bristling with pine, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple. Quite a bit of hoppiness in this nose! Taste: fierce and fiery hop bitterness right up front on the palate, but much appreciated and quite delightful. Body is about medium and of sufficient heft, although malt is a bit lean in this IPA, abd the hops continue to stand tall in the saddle throughout the drink. But that’s what I like, li’l ol’ hophead, me. Relentless flavor, tasty, tasty. Real humdinger of an IPA that I’d gladly return to, anytime.

bottle...Clear golden pour with a medium sized white head. Very nice aroma, Floral hops, citrus. Brazen start, hops come right at you, nice maltiness also. Citrus peel fruitiness/bitterness also evident. Very nicely done, This is a bold hoppy IPA.

Great IPA! Straight hops! No aftertaste, very smooth. Not so much like beer but like eating hops! :)

Pours a golden color with a dense off white head. The aroma is big and citrusy that screams off the wall hops. The taste is citrus hops all over the tongue with enough malt to give it depth. I say that is well-balanced for an IPA. The mouthfeel is smooth and crisp with a dry finish. Drinkability is only hurt by its intense dry and crisp finish, the hops bruised by tongue, i think.
