Pours a deep gold color with copper-orange highlights. Pour creates a 1/2" fluffy white head which quickly dissapates to thin swirls of filmy foam. Hops come to the forefront in the aroma with notes of citrus rind, pine needles and spice against a faint sweet background of caramel malts, honey and cookie dough. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy with a fine carbonation, but seemed to finish somewhat thin and a tad watery. Crisp and refreshing hoppy flavor profile of fresh orange, grapefruit, pine and herbal tea come to the forefront followed by a backing of sweet crystal malts, light caramel, clover honey and floral notes. A moderate hop resin bitterness coates the tongue for the finish. Although perhaps not a memorable American IPA, still well done a worth a try.

Nov 21, 2008 pours a deep gold colour with a large foamy head.
Aroma is caramel and almost cakey sweet malts, citrus, some pine tones. Flavour is crisp malt, grapefruity citrus but more pine hop in the flavour for me. Finishes slightly dry bitter. Very nice.

Nov 20, 2008 On top at the Pearl Street Pub. Pours a darker orange. Smells mainly piney and hoppy. Tastes of columbus hops mostly, very piney. A solid IPA.

Nov 19, 2008 Pours amber into a shaker. Off-white head with excellent retention leaves slight sheets as it recedes to coat surface. Pine and resin aromas. Crisp and well-balanced. Lasting pine and resin finish. Nice one.
