COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

12 fl. oz bottle@Olympen, Oslo. Huge, airy near-white head. Body is crystal clear, deep gold. Strong hop nose; Lots of pine and resin, dust and metal, less of the more fruity stuff. A pleasant caramel scent reveals after the beer is reaching room temperature. Dryish, restained malt body, with faint caramel. Very generously hopped, especially bittering. More pine and resin, also some citrus zest and and lemon. Taste has a noticable sweetness, but the bittering hops is dominating, giving the beer an acidulous-sour edge. Mid-bodied and oily in the mouth. Lasting, hoppy finish. Straightforward, and maybe one-dimensional, still a potent and highly drinkable IPA.

12oz bottle into a limited pilsner glass. Taste is hoppy, fresh citrus, mild grain, tart melon, and smooth amber waves. Color is golden light red with copper highlights. Head is medium solid and simmers to mostly full top cover. A fresh and satisfying IPA here, this is a nice choice. The taste is up front, hoppy, and then bitter, leaving an overwhelming option to drink more. Thus, an invitation that can not be passed... Great brew

Can. Nicely balanced with an interesting blend of hop favors and aromas. Nice medium body, not quite "sticky" like other heavily hopped IPAs. Shock your fizzy yellow drinking friends by tossing them one of these. Best canned IPA.

Citrus, pine and a mild nuttiness in aroma. The flavor is citrus hops with some pine mixed in, with the finish being a mix of hop bitterness a decent malt background. A very good IPA, the flavor had a great hop bitterness throughout.

Poured in tulip glass to aid aroma. Very little head, and little head retention. Great aroma, not like most West coast IPAs: less citrus and pine, and more of a cat pee aroma in the hops. Almost sweet. Clean bitterness. Not a kick in the teeth, though, just right. Would like to see more hop flavor carry through...would be a good candidate for FWH. Good mouthfeel, not too viscous. Overall, a delightful IPA. Nothing mindblowing but very easy to drink.

Pours a golden hue with a 1 1/2 finger. Aroma is all citrus. Taste follows that us very valences from the bitterness to the sweetness on the backend. Thanks Jon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet caramel malt and fruity esters complement strong floral hops in the nose. Lightly hazy deep golden coloured body is topped by a generous, frothy, white, fine bubbled head that lasts well and coats the sides of the glass. Citrus and floral hop flavours attack the palate along with pronounced bitterness. Nice malt backbone comes in late to support. Citrus and peach notes grace the lingering bitterness. Medium body has quite effervescent carbonation which keeps it from becoming cloying or sticky. Very refreshing. Tulip glass. Allowed to warm from fridge temperature. Can received as a gift... Thanks, Adam!
