jjuf1853 (175), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Apr 17, 2008 Bottle pours a clear, light, amber coloer with a foamy two finget head. Aroma is
floral, orange, hops, and pine. More pine and hops in the flavor with a decent bitter aftertaste, but milder than your usual IPA. Very smooth and drinkable.
RomanW70 (280), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Jul 20, 2008 On tap at Julian’s, 7/11. Pours orange gold with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malts, pine and grapefruit. Nice flavor, a good combination of caramel malts and citrus and pine hops. Very nice beer. KimJohansen (2460), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 20, 2008 Clear amber with medium off white head. Hoppy aroma with citric and caramel notes. Sweet and hoppy flavor with some caramel and grapefruit notes. NDbeerdrinker (33), North Carolina, USA Jul 14, 2008 Pours a yellow-orange with a decent white white head that dissipates quickly. Nice aroma, hops maybe a little piney. Taste is a good example of the style. Good balance and a very nice beer. Slipstream (315), USA Jul 14, 2008 Nice label with an old map on it. Clear honey pour with modest head. Strong, first-rate scent of honey-like malts and hops. Well-rounded and balanced IPA flavor - solid malts, tasty hops, some orange in there, maybe even a dash of spices too. Medium-light carbonation. This is a super IPA, and another winner from Avery. beerheart (218), Erie, Colorado, USA Jul 8, 2008 In the summer, I’m drinking IPA. I was privileged to enjoy this on tap last weekend at Avery’s inaugural "4K on the 4th" run. I don’t know if it truly is Colorado’s hoppiest IPA, but it is one of the best. While Avery’s own Maharaja is better, this IPA, a more traditional IPA than that one, is a great classic exmaple of the style. Light amber pour. Citrus, floral, pine, and bread aromas. The hops hit hard, but as with most good IPA’s they are balanced by the right malts and the finish is clean.
