Experience a contemporary rendition of a classic style. Hopped with purpose, Joe’s is beautifully bitter and dry with an abundance of floral, noble German hops.

Nice pils. Lager odor of malts but with hops. Golden color with white fizzy head. Clear. Good light palate with average carbonation for the style. Hoppy taste that made it more like a pale ale. Reminded me of Sam Adams IPL but better. Hops added bitterness and dryness for a clean finish. Nicely balanced.

Can to pilsner. Haze corn silk yellow. Foamy white head. Corny pilsner nose and the palate comes right in line. Little bitter note, little hint of sweet towards the end.

According to Avery, Joe’s Pilsener is a contemporary American Pils -- does that mean more hops? If so, Joe’s definitely delivers. Pils malt is clean and bready. The German nobles are herbaceous, floral, grassy, and citrusy. Finish has lingering bitterness. There seem to be lots of hoppy Lagers on the market now, but you won’t catch me complaining.

12 ounce can served in a lager glass. Pale yellow colored body; hazy with a big white head that also emerged from the can itself when the tab was popped. Aroma: about equal levels of malts and floral/grassy hop notes. Flavor: Mild-moderate bitterness. Grassy and lemony citrus hop character. with a light cracker palate. Feel: Crisp dry finish.

Pretty good beer. Nice hop presence. Very easy drinking. Sudsy head with plenty of lace. Fairly well balanced. Decent finish.
