Serving glass: Poured from can into Pilsner glass. Appearance: Extremely pale yellow, with a strong, stark white head and some impressive lacing. Aroma: Sweet apple, some straw, and peppery hops. Taste: Delicate grainy malts with apple and straw. Nice blast of peppery and floral hops on the finish. Palate: Very light body with high carbonation. This is as expected for an American Pale Lager, but the extreme dry finish makes this refreshing as opposed to watery (as with the macros). Overall: For an American-style Pale lager (not a Pilsner, Helles, Dortmunder, etc.), this is definitely the best I have ever had. I am drinking a single can of this during the bitter month of January, but may need to get a six pack come summer.

Purchased at "Lulow Wines" in Gaslit Clifton, Cincinnati, Ohio - Alright, this fine "old time" pilsner came out golden and bubbled, with a malty snelluing white head of foam. Look, it’s just a good pilsner that puts the BMC (Bud-Miller-Coors) crap to sjame, and I like it! But, as a Cincinnatian, Burger is cheaper and tastes about the same!

beerchugger (708) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - APR 26, 2011
Pours light golden with a full white lasting head. Smells of faint citrus, slight grain, bit of grass, and some pils malt. Pretty basic aroma really. Nice dry hoppy beer with some floral notes, grass, and bitter hops. The finish doesn’t have the tasty cereal grain finish I like so much, but its a long bitter finish. It’s fairly simple and would make for a good lawn mower beer.

SPDickerman (698) - Texas, USA - DEC 25, 2011
Pours clear pale yellow with a large, bright white foamy head. Smells very hoppy, floral notes, with some faint maltiness underneath. Taste is very much like an I.P.A. in bitterness but there is that distinct lager flavor present from the lager yeast. Light-to-medium-bodied with a crisp texture and average mouth-carbonation, Avery Joe’s Premium American Pilsner finishes mostly clean with some residual real grain malt sweetness.

Pours yellow with a white head and light malt aroma. Taste is of balanced hops and malt along with some grassy and grainy notes. Drinkable and light brew, but nothing special.

don’t understand the rating of others on this one - trasparent ugly pale; med head. good palate for style; that’s it; bitter/sour with 0 redeeming qualities; I’m out!

12oz can. Beer pours a very pale yellow with a thick white head. Aromas are faint, but pale German malts dominate. The taste is very clean, refreshing and dry. Lighter than I am used to, but a nice spicy hop finish that is very dry. Good beer for warm weather. Clean dry finish. Not bad overall, one of the better Pils I have had. Very sessionable with the lower ABV

I’m not a huge pilsner fan, but this one has just a kiss of hops to it that really makes it stand out for me. Terrific summer bbq beer.
