Experience a contemporary rendition of a classic style. Hopped with purpose, Joe’s is beautifully bitter and dry with an abundance of floral, noble German hops.

This beer looks and tastes like what you would expect from a Pilsener, it is nothing truly outstanding, but it does the style justice Pours yellow with minimal head and no lacing. It has a husky/grassy taste to it and is a full-bodied beer.

Tap at Watering Hole. Clear gold with a one-finger head of white foam that dissipates but leaves a rim around the glass. Light apple, grass and pepper on the nose with some biscuity malts. Crisp on the palate with some good malt character. Finish is slightly bitter with cracked pepper and light grass. Not bad.

Tap at Fujiyama. Clear gold, low head. Bit of grass and lemon in th enose, biscuity malt. Well balanced flavor, ok malt, ok hop. Clean and decent but not at all special and not any better than a lot of major Japanese all-malt lagers.

Can from Julio’s. Very pale gold with lasting head and lace. Mild grassy doughy aroma with a hint of floral. Very light crackery malt sweetness with a touch of melon and grassy hops but very very mild on the back end. Not dry but not lingering sweet either so it feels watery. Tastes all right, but not as well executed (crisp dry with a little bite and strong noble aroma) as I expected. Good.
