2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2010
Experienced from a 12oz bottle in an elongated tulip glass. The beer pours a lightish to medium amber color, with a small to moderate white head. The nose initially shows a pleasing note of cinnamon. However, as the sample warms, a rather unpleasant note of alcohol comes through; surprising for a beer of this abv. The palate resembles a premium lager more than a Belgian ale, or anything of any character, for that matter. The finish is crisp, reflecting a beer lacking in thought or execution. Overall, a miss from a usually very good brewery.

Very bubbly orange-yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma is very earthy with lots of yeast. Peach and melon flavor with a bitter hop finish. Some funk. Fruit becomes almost medciny as you drink.

Thanks to hudsonphotog for sharing this beer.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is flowery hops with some bready malt. The flavor is grapes, flowers and oranges with some lighter malts. A very fruity tasting Belgian ale. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Translucent brown with lasting white head. Malty roasty aroma. Dry, roasty cocoa... is this really a brown ale? Much more robust like a porter.

Pours a dark gold. Aroma of citrus fruits and medium hoppiness. Maybe some distant caramel malts. Head disappeared like a thief. Tastes of citrus fruits and some hop tangyness. It’s better than say Shock Top, but I could still picture some asshole behind a bar sticking an orange wedge on my glass if I ordered this. The closest thing from Belgium this has anything in common with is a Wit.

On tap @ Avery Brewery. Pours a dark golden color with not much head. Smell is sweet (couldn’t figure out anything to compare it to, just general sweetness) with some mild hoppiness. Taste was a bit metallic with some floral notes. A bit over carbonated. Nothing much to write home for. A pretty average ale with no excitement.
