COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we've created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here's to being good!

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2010 Bottle, at Patricks. A clear dark golden beer topped by a minimal off-wiite head. Sweetish, fruity and slightly vegetal nose. Sugary, tropical fruits too. Medium body with some alcohol. Sugary, tropical fruits and some caramel notes in the flavor. Fruity finish with some vegetables. Notes of caramel. A pretty disappointing one. 100527

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV not mentioned on the label. Orange to amber colour, moderate to low white head. Dusty and uninteresting aroma, notes of cardboard. The flavour has some fruitiness, but is otherwise dusty, bland and boring. Minimal hops. Disappointing.

Aroma of black pepper, pineapple and cherry. Appearance is translucent gold with patchy head. Flavor matched the nose, but with some apparent alcohol and honey sweetness. Palate was bubbly. Needs some work.

Bottle. Pours a dark and hazy golden with a tightly packed finely bubbled head. Aroma hints of ginger and peach. Flavours are less bold, sweet barley candy, honey, mild estery character. Decent, but nothing really stands out.

On the nose I get citrus, banana and some piney hops. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth going down, very, very sessionable, which is a huge plus for this style to me. Taste matches the palate quite well, with emphasis on the fruity esters that I love in a belgian. Of course I’ve had better Belgians, but they didnt come in a six pack and I could only have one... Well done Avery.

I thought this beer was very good and refreshing at first but then after a couple I started getting a bad taste on my palate of wet dog. Somewhat disappointing from this usually terrific brewer.

This is a great summer beer. A good follow-up to mowing your lawn. Could use a little more hops but overall you don’t get much of a belgian aftertaste which is a + in my book

Sample at Barley’s Smokehouse. Pours clear amber with a medium beige head. Belgian yeast nose that is light on the banana with some grassy hops. Flavor begins with stone fruit (more of an apricot than a peach or nectarine) with some bitter hops before a cardboardy finish.
