UPDATED: NOV 18, 2009 Bottle from citywide. Pours a clear dark gold with a white foamy head. Aroma of pear and apple yeast esters, rum, caramel, candied sugar. Flavor is sweet caramel, candy, fruits, and bread. Huh. This was different. too sweet, but I enjoyed this.

Nice clear golden brown color. Two finger off-white head that leaves some nice lacing.
Spicy citrus notes are all but overpowered by bubblegum scents. A tiny bit of malt pokes through.
A small bit of spice notes right up front give way to the bubblegum/citrus flavor combo and are then followed by a light hoppy bite at the end.
Nice and creamy with a great carbonation level.
Could be a good session beer. I would have a problem with the hoppy bite it has, but could probably get around it, as it is minimal.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chickenflea (227) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - NOV 2, 2009
12-oz bottle. Stiff white head. Aroma light. Flavor to match aroma. Understated. Light flavor. Mild apricot/honey up front blending into rather sour citrus taste. Dandelion finish. Pleasant but unmemorable.

Smell is mostly light toasty grain and slightly sour citrus. Flavor is very bland biscuity with the carbonation floating an apricot spritz around your mouth, ending with the sour citrus again. Mouthfeel is balanced throughout temp but comes off slimy as it warms. Weird to me, I don’t hate it but can’t imagine buying it again. Thanks Avery. 2009 12 oz.

12 fl. oz. Bottle via Lubiere, served at cellar temperature in a Scotch Irish taster glass.
App.: Clear amber with a large light tan head.
Aroma: Burnt sugar, some dark dried fruits, quite fruity, lightly spiced, there a sharp herbal note that I can’t quite place, kinda perfumy.
Palate: Medium-ish body, fairly sparse effervescence.
Flav.: Perfumed roasted malts, some earthy citrus, some fruitiness, but less than the nose, earthy, British malts, a little soapy; almost dry with very little bitterness and some leftover British malt.
Not great.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 williamherbert (1041) - Syracuse, New York, USA - OCT 17, 2009
The look is cloudy and hazy, but also bright. Lava lamp orange with tons of carbonation. Big head is puffy dishsoap; unstable. Leaves a film and a minor lacing.
Very nice dry malt smell. Biscuty with a cookie sweetness. Sweetness is like a pastry, not fruit. Quite nice. Fruit comes out as it warms.
Nice slightly pale flavor. Very mild and dry. A mild tartness, hints of lemon and grape. Some honey and just a smidge of spice. Really layered and balanced.
Feels creamy and thick. Slightly bubbly, but smooth overall. It’s highly drinkable, mild and dry. A nice sweet ale. Honey and red grape are the signature flavors.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Gypsy19 (728) - California, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Pours a thick dark orange with a medium ivory head. Aroma is fruity; of tangerine/orange and other fruits. Flavor is unique. definitely has the farmhouse thing going on, just slightly funky with subdued grapefruit flavors, dusty cardboard finish. Not a bad flavor, but nothing to die for either. Average mouthfeel, sticky. Upper-medium viscosity. Overall, good minus.
