COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we’ve created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here’s to being good!

On tap @ The Brew Kettle: Off white lasting head on a medium amber, fairly clear body. Clove and peppery spice yeast w/ a moderate caramel malt character. Toasty malt and slightly bready w/ melanoidin aromas; Medium, non distinct fruity esters w/ some floral hop as it warms. Well balanced flavor w/ some spicy and peppery yeast w/ light banana esters. Bready malt w/a finish that is a bit on the dry side and malt flavored. Aftertaste is lingering w/ a bit of spicy flavors from both yeast and hops. Hightly carbonated with a medium body and dry m/f. Another so-so beer from Avery. Not bad, but nothing outstanding IMHO. I thought the keg version of this had a little more life to it than the bottled version, but it is still nothing special.

Bottle. Amber gold in appearance. Medium head with quick dispersion. Aroma is yeasty and fruity. Spicy overtone to taste, but fairly good. Malty, fruity and yeasty. Reminds me of north coast Pranqster, but not quite as good.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2005 Thin off-white head. Good carbonation. Aroma of roasted corn, with a little fruity hops. Color is a medium orange. Light bodied. Crisp on the palate with light fruit and maybe a hint of lemon. Little bit of spices are abrasive on the tongue. Finish is dry and a little bitter but pretty clean. An ok beer but not a good quality belgian ale. Second try. Not as harsh and a little bland but pretty smooth.

Pour is a nice honey color with a white head. Aroma is has a very sweet quality to it with a nice hoppy backbone. Flavor is also sweet and slightly citrus but altogether the taste is very bland. Give it a try but nothing makes you say wow.

(Bottle) Pours a huge, frothy, yellowish-head with a ruby-orange body. Nose of tin, pepper and perfume. Flavour is multi-malted and slightly hopped. More of the English Pale Ale style than Belgian in my opition. Many thanks to my friend Argo0 for this opportunity.

Hazy burnt bronze pour under a thin fut firm off-white head. Malty aroma with a little pepper, toffee, and mild citrus. Flavors mirrored the aroma but in an underwhelming manner. I kept hoping for something noteworthy but it never came. Finish was mildly sweet, mildly bitter, but otherwise unremarkable. There’s really nothing wrong with this beer aside from the fact that there are so many better examples out there.

Bottle @ Oliver Twist, StockholmBlonde to amber, no head. Served ice cold due to problem with fridge. Very fruity aroma when warmed up. Noticably begian in character, though a bit hoppier. Pinapple and peaches in taste. A lot of other fruits are present as well. Liquid fruit sallad with hop dressing.

Dark orange, small white head. Smell = sweet, spicy, citrusy. Tastes white pepper, bitter oranges, caramel. Quite watery and grainy, but flavorful enough to enjoy.

Pours a clear amber color, small white head. Aroma of cherries, pine needles, and bananas. Flavor is sweet, lots of citrusy hops. Kind of a blend between a hefe- and a pale ale.
