We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, weve created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Heres to being good!

Medium sized offwhite head, fair retention and a good amount of stringy, coating lace. Clear copper colored brew, lace just hanging on. Dry malty nose, lightly earthy, faint citrus. Body is light. Mild citrus flavors, lightly malty, bready notes and some oxydative notes as well. Finish is dry and quick. Not bad Karma but not good Karma either.

On draft at the Blue Dog. Poured a golden amber with a thin off white head. Tastes of various fruits, picked up some apricot at the end. This was served a little too cold to pick up the aroma and all the flavor. Didnt have time to let it warm up more.

Copper orange, decent head fades away. Aroma is vaguely fruity, with some pepper and faint spiciness. Strangely present, yet almost non-descript at the same time. Flavor has some faint cherry, a bit of orange, and a sweetness that is hard to pinpoint. Im having a really hard time getting my taste-buds and head around this beer. Odd finish as well, as it starts off light in the mouth and finishes full on the palate. Flavors driven by yeast, resulting in a sort of strange, almost unsettling experience.

Pour is nice amber with a big than head that left a nice lacing...smell is a little funky and a little fruity...maybe grapes...taste is rather bland with just lots of malt and grass...I can see it as a session though...

Bottled. Dark amber, brief head. Aroma of caramel. mango and almonds. Sweetish with clean, hard mouthfeel and somewhat thin body. Strong cardboard flavour, like in an overly aged, severely oxidized beer - then nothing. After the aroma this beer offers nothing but a downhill slope towards a metallic finish.

Aroma is somewhat fruity and sweet with a nice blend of hops. Color is a copper brown and the head is average. Wonderful malt character with plenty of bread like yeast flavor and an alcohol kick that I was not expecting in a 5.2% ale. It has a near perfect amount of hops as well. Aftertaste is like citrus and bread. Slightly acidic but otherwise a wonderful ale

Bottle: This beer is about as pure of an amber color as Ive seen; clear, with small bubbles rising to meet the medium light beige head. The head lasts for a good while, and then completely dies to nothing as the beer warms. It has a sweet light and caramel malty scent, apple, fruit/ester yeast, and a unique hops aroma - it has the sticky, resin-like hop smell that hits just before the intense grassy bitterness....except the bitterness never hits here. Taste is pretty mild overall, with notes of apple, pear, mildly estery yeast, sweet sugar-covered bread, dough, light malt, and a hint of earthy grain. Mild-medium carbonation, light-medium bodied, it just feels watery and uninspiring in the mouth. Id like to see the alcohol pumped up a bit, a drier, spritzier mouthfeel, and a bit higher attenuation allowed.....but who am I to judge. This would make a nice session belgian pale ale.

Hazy orange appearance with a low dissapearing white head. Sweet aroma of herbs and oranges with touches of flowers. Thin herbal flavour of sweet oranges. Some orange-peels in the finish.
