We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, weíve created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Hereís to being good!

Bottle. Clear orange body with light white head and lace. Mild fruity aroma, maybe apricot or lemon, wheat, yeast, touch of pepper. Iím not sure what kind of Belgian style this is going for, but it tastes to me like a wheat/saison hybrid, leaning heavily towards the wheat side. Watery body giving way to a lingering lemon and wheat finish. Lively carbonation. It might be cool if they renamed this karma chameleon ale and put Boy George on the bottle. Maybe not.

Bottle. Pours a clear light orange body with a large fluffy white head. The aroma is fruity, sourish bread, and cookies. Kind of a blend between a saison and a bland American Pale - mild spicy hops, soft banana and other fruits, and some breadiness. Medium body. Kind of boring but itís drinkable.

Bottled. Pours a cloudy orangey copper color with a medium-sized white head which leaves a fair bit of lacing. Smells a bit yeasty with some indiscernable spice to it. Super bland, almost tastes like toasted-tea-soda. Light carbonation. Blaaah!

This ale pours a nice medium amber color with a slightly foamy head. Not much of an aroma but a pleasant mild hoppy flavor with a hint of malt. Somewhat of a tart lemony after taste. Not bad, basically what I expected.

Bottle. Brownish amber color, minimal head. Aroma is subtle but has notes of caramel malt, lemon, yeast and wet cardboard. Flavor is heavy on the caramel malt with a bit of an astringent note in the background. Lemon is there, too, but it is mild and has a bit of the lemon peel bitterness to it.

From tap into a tulip at Euclid Hall (seasonal) A: Deep copper with brown hues. Perfect sticky white head and great lacing. S: Hints of Belgian yeast, light caramel, biscuity nose, and some minor spice. T: light nuttiness, touch of yeast, low hops, balanced malts. Just a little bit of tannin like pull on the palate. M: medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finish falls short. D: An okay beer overall. Doesnít portray Belgium IPAís very well nor American stylistic impression either. Easy drinking but lacks the yeast profile to really sink in as a great beer. Not bad but not great.

Clear amber in color. Aromatics of yeast and its attributes, malt (toast, biscuit, fruit) along with a touch of herbaceous and floral hops. Medicinally rich nose The aromatics pretty much continue on upon tasting. Boring and dull.

Average Belgian-style pale. Weak palate, low ester, not hoppy enough. Bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours an amber color with very little head. The aroma is a little dirty, but not all that strong. Not a lot of flavor to this, IMHO. Slight Belgian taste, but I would miss it if I werenít looking for it. Meh.

Very disappointing. Iím generally a fan of Avery products but not this one. A very weak attempt at a Belgian Style Ale - not at all what I expected from a top brewer like Avery. It was freshness dated so i know the problem was not caused by age. One of the advantages of a Mix-a-Six - I didnít get stuck with more than 1 bottle.
