markwise (257), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2008 This is a great beer, I don’t know why I like it so much, but I could drink a whole six pack. It is very light for a Belgian Style Ale. Rather weak on the aroma, somewhat bready with butter and some honey. The word that keeps coming to my mind with this beer is buttery.
oberabcbbsok (653), Hoboken, Belgium Aug 19, 2008 A nice ale tasted at the avery brewing company at the 15th Aniversery on draft. Soicy and slightly bitter. polomagnifico (404), Saginaw, Michigan, USA Aug 16, 2008 bottle. Aroma of citrus and cobwebs. Hazy orange amber hue with a small mostly diminishing white head that left little lace. Flavor is spice, Belgian yeast, citrus, and a slightly bitter finish. Palate is light to medium bodied and lively. A decent Belgian but only because it is weak. More of the same crappy Belgian yeast funk. JohnnyZ (66), USA Aug 15, 2008 Great tasting beer. Does not remind me of a Belgian. Reminds me of an APA. It is a good idea to drink this beer. It is satisfying. swanmann (243), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Aug 15, 2008 The bottle poured bright golden-amber with fluffy orange hued head. Settles into pretty good suds. The aroma is sweet, with apricot, maybe, and somewhat soft earthy florals. The flavor is biscuity with some juicy citrus and a mild bitter bite. The belgian style comes through, although the finish is a bit dry. I like it, but I wouldn’t choose it for a belgian. beerbill (1243), Laurel, New York, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle sampled at NFB&WF ’08 at Martha Clara Vineyards. Pours a mostly clear dark gold. Pleasant aroma of fruit and some yeast. The flavor is again fruit along with a bit of yeast and some sugary sweetenss. An ok beer, but probably not something I would come back to.
