Pitch black in color with craggy mocha head that faded into a craggy collar and wisps. Aroma is a ton of brown sugar and vanilla. Taste is extremely well balanced between vanilla, sweet oaky bourbon warmth, molasses and a rich roasty malt base. Rich, silty body, and low carbonation.

Simply one of the better beers I’ve had. It’s incredible smooth with notes of vanilla, coffee and Bourbon. Nothing overpowering though. Amazing

On tap at Avery. Black appearance with a lacy tan head. Huge aroma of vanilla, oak, caramel, toffee, toasted grains, roasted malts, milk chocolate and light coffee. Similar flavor, adding a touch of bourbon. Medium to full body. Pretty dank, big barrel flavors. An instant classic, bottle it.

On tap at Boulder Strong Ale Fest (2014). Pour is pitch black with a frothy tan head and good lacing. Big vanilla, cocoa, espresso, toasted malt, graham crackers, light bourbon and caramelly aroma. Taste is smooth - sweet vanilla, coffee, bakers chocolate, light whisky, whip cream, and pie crust. Velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Awesome!

On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest 2014. Pours a black appearance with a creamy brown head. Lots of dark chocolate and rich vanilla in the nose. Some boozy / whiskey notes as well. Caramel / toffee, dark chocolate, vanilla bean flavor. Not too overwhelming on the booze. Nice brew.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, roast, nice big vanilla, bourbon, oaky notes into a hint of coffee, slight booze, hints of earth. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, cocoa, nice dark fruits into big bourbon, coconut, vanilla, hints of oak, finishing fairly sweet, slightly boozy, but tasty.
