Witbeer with Passionfruit

Luscious. Juicy. Tart. And like no other! Adding a tropical island flair to a spicy traditional witbier, Liliko’i Kepolo erupt with monumental passionfruit aroma and acidity along with a sublimely succulent finish.

Can: Pour is murky medium golden - with a two fingered , fine bubbled white head into this glass. It is nice - and retains fairly well here. THe presumption is that this is there run of the mill wit base - I believe that is the case - it doesn’t matter though - the passion fruit infusion is a brilliant combo - this is just a terrific summer beer for me. Floral and Passion fruit on the nose initial, moving to the bready, light spiced, feint citrus wit base. The flavor profile reveals juicy passion fruit, peppery spice notes, moving to a light grass base with a touch of florals. There is a bright , juicy finish line that fades into the next sip.... and then the next.

4 pack of cans from Little’s. This is some seriously drinkable stuff. The passion fruit is fairly potent, but a solid witbier base provides spicy esters, wheat, and notes of coriander to balance. This is assertively tart too. If someone is gonna make a fruit beer, I’d like it to go in this direction.

Bright and cloudy lemon rind yellow with a dense white head. Nose is yeasty and peppery with soft fruit. Spicy with a light acidity and bready yeasty note. Medium soft body and zippy finish.

Can. Cloudy gold with a very short, dense white head. Aroma is pretty much pure passionfruit with soft yeast and wheat notes. Taste is wheat, passionfruit, candied fruit, light spices and yeast. Body is light and refreshing with a moderate, prickly carbonation. Ends with more passionfruit, candied fruit, wheat notes, light yeast and light spices. Very refreshing!

Draft at thirsty monk. Pours yellow with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Nice citrus notes on the nose. Solid citrus notes on the tongue. Finished clean. Nice example of style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Iron Abbey. Hazy yellow thin white head. Definite fruit nose. Sour fruit, grapefruit flavor. Crisp and acidic. Reminds me of the grapefruit from my Grandmother back yard.

12 oz can poured into frozen shaker. Thin cream colored head atop a cloudy golden body . Aroma of tropical fruit. Tastes like light canned fruit juice with a little pepper and cloves. Very slight bitter finish. Refreshing and delicious but thoughts of canned juice hold it back some.

355ml can. Hazed light gold/orange pour. Smell is cooked passion fruit. Flavor is a passionfruit spritzer. One of my favorite fruits but this does’t capture it well, not sour or juicy enough. Floored by the high ratings? The can cost over 3$ so that is maybe why.
