Sample at the Avery Tap Takeover at 4th Street Patio Bar and Grill on 09/26/2012: The beer is a hazy orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit and bready malt. Light-bodied with a tasty passion fruit character and floral and toasted malt notes. The finish is sweet with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

can to snifter that poured a cloudy yellow color with minimal white head. the aroma was just like a wit, nice Belgian yeast, banana notes wheat and a sourness from some fruit presence. the flavor was really nice had a nice tartness to it and then the traditional wit beer flavor. really liked that surprise of the tart and sour. overall lots of flavor and drinkable.

[Can (12oz)] Pours a murky yellow-gold with a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, lightly tart fruit, a hint of banana, herbs and tropical fruit. Fruity, wheaty flavour along with light herbs a bit of spice. Average bodied. A simple but enjoyable beer.

From BandC. Weird and delicious. Especially popular with the missus. I finally decided that the flavor I couldn’t identify is what passion fruit must taste like, I’ve never had the real thing. Serving: Can

Sample at Nöjesguidens Ölmässa. Pours milky yellow with white head. Yeasty, peppery aroma with passionfruit and lightly tart lemon zest. Quite watery taste with passionfruit and yeast. Highly drinkable and refreshing.

Aroma - smells just like a very good juice passionfruit, orange, and citrus hops that seem to suggest grapefruit. Appearance - body is a cloudy jonquil yellow. Head is about 1/3" and white and settles into a foam. Taste - has a nice tart mix of passionfruit and other succulent tropical fruits - pineapple, lemon, and some hops that come off slightly like grapefruit just slightly resinous. This is juicy, tart, and absolutely refreshing. This could easily be mistaken as a breakfast juice. Palate - body is medium, texture can only be describe as ? juicy, the carbonation is lively, the finish tart and juicy. Wow!!!

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 11/16/2015. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, fruit/spice, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart lemon, lime, orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, pear, apple, coriander, light pepper/clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, passion fruit, pear, apple, coriander, wheat, cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, fruit/spice, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice witbier style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, fruit/spice, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a very hazy yellow with a thin, long-lasting white head. Aroma is pepper, spicy notes, passionfruit, and tropical fruits and citrus, such as grapefruit. Flavor is dominated by the passionfruit, with other tropical fruits such as pineapple and some citrus, more grapefruit, making a dent. There are also peppery and spicy notes. I think passionfruit is great in a beer. Adds a great flavor and a dimension of tartness. As one rater noted, this would be even better as a summer sipper, but as it stands I think it’s delicious on a cold night too.

Pours a hazy golden yellow from the can with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma is huge on the passionfruit notes, a hint of acidity, and a nice wheat base. Taste is all sorts of tropical with a nice acidic twang, no signs of a witbier here for me, but I’m ok with that. Really way better than I was expecting.

11/6/15. On tap, Bleu Cafe. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Light fruity aroma, crackery, orange, light spice. Doughy flavor, orange, crackery, light spice a hint of fruit. Basically just a standard witbier - was a little disappointed.
