Belgian yeast, sweet malts, Bourbon, vanilla, oak, orange, banana, more citrus.... amazing blend of 2 great beers... finishes strong - one of my favorites for sure!

Taproom at the 2009 GABF. Clear and brilliant amber color with thin white head. Fresh sweet nose, no hops as the malts dominate. Medium carbonation and malty sweetness in the mouthfeel. Nose has the bourbon mix of oak, vanilla, toffee, and buttery notes. I also got farmhouse notes in the nose and the taste.

Hazy orange-red pour with an off-white head, good lacing. Powerful oak sweet aroma with oatmeal cookie, apple and spice. Sweet fruity flavors that linger and eventually lead to a spicy dry finish. Smooth medium body with low carbonation and moderate alcohol warmth. Good one!

draft at Brewvival. another awesome rarity from the Avery crew. pours a hazy, reddish orange with a thin white head and a sticky ring of lace. aroma is great with huge, wet, woody oak, scotch whiskey, vanilla, yellow raisin, and hints of dried apricot and coconut. flavor is delicious as well with huge whiskey up front backed by sweet, sugary malts, vanilla icing, figs, and earthy hops with just a touch of citrus. palate is full bodied and very sweet but quite easy drinking with a warm, boozy finish. overall, a damn nice brew.

Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2010
pours amber with a white head. Smells more or less just like bourbon without the ability to clear you nasal passage out so much. Also hints of vanilla. The flavor is pretty sweet. Just a hint of a bite to it but undeniable smooth and drinkable. The bitter hops come out just a little bit in the finish. A bourbon lover’s beer, and brother I am a bourbon lover!

Big mouth feel thick well coated and creamy. Sweet flavor lots of malt almost syrupy goodness, fades into a brown sugar dry oak finish a little honey bread in teh aftertaste mixed with some light fruits. Delicious.
