COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Pours very dark brown with a luscious tan head that has good retention. Quite of bit of lacing going on too. Smell both roasty and very fresh because of the hops. Taste like caramel, bitter sweet hops, a little coffee and exotic tropical fruit (that’s interesting!). A little cola sweetness in the after taste along with a very nice dry hop finish. I like this very much. It is different than other porters I have had, stylistically, and in a very good way.

Smells strongly of coffee and chocolate. Has a very bitter taste and feel on the tongue. It’s definitely dry and "just strange" according to Jonathan.

Appearance: dark brown color with little head, kind of thin on the pour. Aroma: piney hops, chocolate, coffee, interesting mix. Taste: hoppy up front and on the finish, very slight coffee flavor. Mouthfeel: very thin for porter but slightly thicker than typical IPA. Overall: Tastes definitely more IPAish than Porterish. I’m a hophead so I really enjoy it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma gave away the hops right away. A chocolately, coffee tasting porter but with a twist of hops added.

Aroma of deep pine hop, a nice roast behind it but definitely not a roasty porter. Pours black with a nice tan head. Tastes roasty and hoppy. Very nice.

Very dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, citrus hops and roast. Taste is basically a nice roasty, chocolatey porter, but with a really nice hop compliment. Medium bodied and pretty smooth. An excellent take on a porter.

12oz bottle. Black color with a red hue, thin light brown head, good lace. Slightly translucent. Light and crisp/smooth carbonation. Hoppy and malty aroma, some chocolate. Satisfying amount of hops, definitely a black IPA (and a pretty good one, too). Mostly bitter. Some sweet taste, a bit of spice. Tasty enough to be called drinkable

Tasted at the 2012 St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival from bottle into sampler glass. Poured a deep, opaque brown color with moderate foam, very little lace. Much more hops in aroma and flavor than typical porters, which is not at all a bad thing. Refined English hop profile and fruity ale yeast esters. Delicious.
