COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Bottled. Pours a very dark , slightly see through color. Hint of ruby. Aroma consists of alot of roasted maltiness. Fresh roasted coffee along with some notes of chocolate. Rich roasted maltiness up front. Some bitter coffee flavors as well. Some sweet, sugary creamy flavors towards the finish. Some bitterness in the finish as well. Good quality porter.

I think this bottle is a little long in the tooth but I get some sharpness with some roasted malt, Little bit of chocolate. nice take on a solid porter.

Very enjoyable porter. You can definitely taste that hop edge, which adds a great dynamic.

Poured from bottle dark amber color aroma of some licorice, raisins and vanilla. Taste of some medicine. This one is not for me.

En prisvärd porter. Len, med en sötma som bryts av med en fin beska. Smak av choklad och kaffe i en trevlig balans och harmoni. Lätt en över 4 i betyg.

The color and body are fairly general in terms of porter; dark brown, almost black, nearly opaque. The aroma is strong, tones of coffee and hops, and a slightly waxy quality. The flavor is really good. Not overly sweet, which is often my complaints with porters. Instead it’s strong and bitter, a bit of the burnt toast quality I associate with stout, with a crisp finish. I liked this quite a bit, more than I’d expected to.

Dark opaque color in the glass. It has a mild roasted fruit aroma with some licorice. Taste has some raisins and some vanilla. There is also some medicine taste that lasts through the finish.

Opaque black with a thin tan head. the aroma is of roasted grain and light floral hops, intensifying as the beer warms. The hop bitterness is not overpowering and roastiness balenced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a three-fingered light khaki head that fades slowly to a ring leaving a good lace. Black color, faint ruby highlights. Medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Earthy and chocolate nose and flavor is baked-burnt chocolate with lingering grapefruit hop finish. $2.45 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Consumed on 5/20/10; reviewed from notes. This pours a very dark black. This is darker than many of the stouts that I have had recently. Big, thick, tan head caps this off. The head sticks around for the entire drink. Stays thick and firm throughout. Tons of lace left over after each sip. Very pretty beer. The scent is of resiny hops right away. I’m a little surprised at this, but I like it. Some faint chocolate malts in there, but this is hoppy in the nose as all get out. Nice take. The body is firm. Moderate amount of carbonation. Very smooth finish. Mimicking the scent, the flavors on this beer are hoppy as well. Some light roasted flavors, a bit of a chocolate powder finish. Moderate bitterness. This beer is blended well. I like that it utilizes hops and is different than many Porters in that respect, but it’s not leaning towards the "black IPA" category. Retains plenty of characteristics of a solid Porter, with just a few minor adjustments. A nice break from the norm. Recommend.
