COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Dense light brown head. Sweetish, chocolatish, light roasted, spiced and herbal aroma. Quite delicious. Flavour is smooth. Loads of chocolate and a mild roastiness in the flavour. Fruits is there, herbs are there and some vague spicenotes. Medium to full bodied. Quite dry mouthfeel. Balanced. Ends on a light roasty bitterness with some choconotes. Good one and just what I needed today after a long day at work.

Roast and pear in both aroma and flavor. Medium bodied. Licorice. Decent and fairly tasty, but not special by any means.

Draft. Brown color, medium brown head, solid lacing. Aroma of pine and roasty cocoa. Taste is milk chocolate, bitter finish. Like a black IPA. Decent stuff.

Deep black porter with nice chocoalate moka aroma. Sweet chocolate, with Bailey's cream and vinous mouth feel, with alcool warmth. Body is quite good and intense!

On tap at Avery poured a clear dark brown with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of roastiness, cocoa, carmel, pine resin and light grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, roastiness, pine, light carmel and a hint of grapefruit with a smooth lingering moderatly bitter piney finish.

Bottle. Pours black with a large, creamy, brown head, mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, toffee, nutty), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (leather, broth) with notes of dates, plums, and charcoal. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Very dark, red glints, almost black; brief beige head. Very milky malty aroma. Anna says it’s just like a malted milk drink she had as a kid. Thick sticky mouthfeel - full of burnt starches - tons of heavily roasted malt, feels like it leaves dust on my tongue.

Tap @ brewery. Pours a dark orange/brown body with a creamy tan/brown head. Piney bitterness in the nose along with some dark malts. Flavor has a piney bitterness element followed a fairly robust chocolate malty body. A good hoppiness and dark malty flavor on the finish.

Bottle @ home. Pours a dark brown body with a big brown and creamy head. Dark Chocolate malts in the nose that are dominated by an intense piney hopiness. Flavor begins with a piney hoppiness followed by the typical characteristics of a porters- creamy, smooth, dark malty body. Very interesting version that’s quite unique.

A unique porter. Dark, dark brown, but light does pass through it. A nice tan head that lasts for a bit. Aroma is hops and more hops. Flavor is hoppy and a tad bitter. Strong coffee flavors are present as well...if you like dark beers and hops then this is the beer for you.
