3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown and opaque with a small tan head. Smells of chocolate, citrus and some roastiness. Tastes of chocolate with some orangey elements and decent bitterness. Mouthfeel is slick. Finish is spicy and yields some more hoppiness. The dry hopping did the nose well, but some of the hops they used in this interfere with the malt backbone that defines a good porter.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 ml bottle. Brought from Sweden. Courtesy of Brandman.
Reddish dark brown almost black colour with big fluffy sand head.
Aroma is bitter hops, chocolate, some sweetness, roasted malt and dark fruits. Delightful combination of hoppy bitterness and Porter roastiness.
Flavour is more straight forward with strong roasted malt flavour with coffee, liquorice, salty liquorice, dry bitter grassy hops and ash. There’s no sweetness nor chocolate in flavour. Rich and full.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Black in color, large rocky beige head, clumpy lacing.   Earthen roasted malt nose, slight cocoa and coffee.
Forwardly hoppy, roasted malts are quick to follow, somewhat dry cocoa aspect rounds out the exit.   Remains earthy throughout.
Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finish is dry, loaded with cocoa and bakers chocolate.   Subtle background of earthy bitterness.
Fairly good porter, just wished it was a bit thicker.   Lingering tart roastiness.
