COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our winter strong ale has a gorgeous mahogany hue, a hint of hazelnuts, and a finish reminiscent of mocha and toffee. No spices, just a perfect blend of five specialty malts. Cellarable for 2 years.

Bottle, from Lyager Vine, Fredericia. A dark red pour with a small off-white film head. Aroma has distant nuts, a good dose of caramel, some sherry and a touch of oak. Quite low carbonation, sort of oily. Flavour is very powerful, with an alcoholic edge to it. There are tones of chocolate, roasted caramel, oak and a good hoppy finish.

on tap-pours a minimal white head. Color is deep amber. Aroma is grain. Taste is grain, sweet, coffee/chocolate/toasty. An occasional beer for me. Again, this is a Big Beer with that complex, thick taste.

Aroma of toffee and nut. Beautiful garnet color with an off-white head that laced while collapsing. Thin to medium body with mild carbonation. The flavor is dark caramel with bread and citrus. The flavor is fairly dry considering the maltiness, with mild bitter and hints of coffee. Very tasty.

Appearance: Pours a dark, reddish-brown with a firm, lingering tan head. Considerable lacing as the level receded. Aroma: Nicely balanced between sweet, caramel notes and bitter hops. Flavor: Flavor is at first sweet and malty, then quickly turns happily bitter with some nice, piney hop flavor. On the swallow, the bitterness prevails, leaving the mouth with a pleasantly bitter, sticky aftertaste. Some notes of toffee and burnt malts, adding to the bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium to medium-big in body. Light and fine carbonation. Slightly warming going down. Overall Impression: Overall I was very impressed. A beautifully struck balance between malt sweetness and hop bite. Comments: Bottle pour.

Bottle. Dark reddish\brown hue with medium off-white head. Good complex aroma of roasted malt, sweet and small alcohol. Medium to full body with smooth texture. Complex flavor of coffee, hops and roasted malt with the same small alcohol bite at the finish. Very good brew.
